My first encounter w/ STD was the summer of 2005. Positive for Chlamydia on Aug 10 and was treated with CipoXr 1000g (can't read doc's handwriting) and Zithromax 500g. Went back on Dec and tested for HIV. Negative for Chlamydia and HIV. Had a new partner in Jan. Two weeks later, my partner emailed me and said he think he got Chlamydia. I was scared and didn't know what to do. I went back to my doctor who treated me back in August and again, I went through all the blood work, pap smear/pelvic exam, etc... everything came back NEGATIVE. Even the HIV test. I am confused. Did I and could I have been the carrier? I was treated and been tested twice and both results confirmed to be negative. I don't get it. My partner is a doctor and he said he tested himself. His symptoms are water discharge and burning w/ urination. I don't have any symptoms but I did treat myself with monostat for yeast infction, I thought that's what it was. My partner slept with someone 2 months ago and said it was his girlfriend of 2 years. Could she have infected him? My doctor doesn't think that I need to be treated but if my partner has it or he thinks he has it (based on the symptoms, should I be treated too?). I am on Doxycycl HYC 100mg and AcipHex (for acid refux disease, very stress right now). Please help me understand all this. Am I the cause?

Very worried and confused.

Culture tests/blood work, all came back negative. Tested on Aug 10, positive for Chlamydia, treated w/ Cipro and Axithromycin. Tested again on Dec 6 and Jan 23, no STD/no HIV. Partner still thinks he has Chlamydia, don't know if I have anything to do with that since I've tested neg twice!!! Help!
