I was wondering if you could tell me the proper dosage to treat chlamydia using Tetracycline (250mg)?>??? thanks a million!!!

The dosage would be 100 mg twice a day for 7 days.

I would encourage you not to attempt to self-treat chlamydia without a culture and a definitive diagnosis.

Reply to Nancy's Post: What if i only have 250 mg pills should i take that twice a day or just once a day seeing its 250 mg? Also i was wondering if you thought Zithromax was a better solution to the chlamydia and what the dosage should be for that???? they say a 1000mg once would do it??? please let me know....i know i should see a dr but i have no time and i have had it before and dont feel like getting pricked with a needle and sitting in a waiting room, but i appreciate the help and the concern

You can take 1000 mg of Zithromax for one dose to cover it.

I really wouldn't recommend taking tetracycline 250 mg once a day if you have Zithromax. The Zithromax would be better.

Please make sure that the antibiotics you are using are not expired. They will NOT be strong enough if they are expired. There should be a date on the package.

If your symptoms continue after you have used the antibiotics, please seek medical diagnosis to prevent complications.

Reply to Nancy's Post: I only have the tetracycline 250mg so seeing it is my only option what would you recommend as a dosage if it is up to date and not expired like you mentioned.
