so, when docters say you can contract an std by oral sex, does that mean that you would contract it in your mouth? And, if you do contract one, does it travel to your genitals or does it live in your mouth? (If you did not recieve, but performed oral sex)

Hi,

Yes you can contract a STD while performing oral sex on someone. As for where it would go if it is Herpes it can get on the mouth or in the mouth. If it is another STD such as Aids or Chlamydia or gonorrhea these all are transmitted to your blood stream and you are infected in that way.

So, basically what happened was I performed oral sex on someone about a month ago. We did not have intercourse, and he did not perform on me.
About a week and a half later I went and got tested, he did a throat culture, and blood tests and everything came back normal.
But, I keep thinking it was too soon after, although the docter thinks I'm fine.
Do I need to retest?
Do I need to have a pap?
He tested for HIV,Chlamydia, gonorrea, hepatitis etc.
Am I just worrying too much?
