I just got some lab results can you tell me what they could mean, 42 yr old female WBC 3.7, Neutrophils 38, Lymphs 52, Neutrophils absolute 1.4, cholesterol total 256, triglycerides 158, ldl choles. 174, TSH 3.9

WBC = white blood cells. Yours is at the low end of normal. High values can represent infection. Low values can represent other conditions.

Neutrophils = 38% of your white blood cells. Often a marker for infection, if this percentage is high. Yours is not.

Lymphocytes - 52% of your white blood cells. Normal. Another type of white blood cells that play a role in your body's immune system.

Neutrophils absolute - 1.4 of the 3.7, meaning essentially 38% of the 3.7 (the 3.7 actually represents 3,700,000,000 cells per liter)

Cholesterol total: less than 200 is better, yours is elevated at 256.

Triglycerides: for males, below 170 is OK, for females below 135 is OK.

LDL cholesterol: 174 is higher than the target 130 or below.

TSH: thyroid stimulating hormone - less than 9 is a sign your thyroid is working normally.
