I also have high cholesterol total is 296, I knew this was high I have been on lipitor for a couple of years, but stopped in March. What would cause this? I'm 36, Famale, 5'2 and weigh 126.

REPLIED Check Mark

Hello Sheryl

First of all, I'd have the tests redone at the doctors office. The tests they do at health fairs are not as accuate.

A high albumin means you get a lot of protein in your diet. The CL being high indicates high salt.

However, like I said, I'd go get it rechecked if you are worried. The results could now be normal or completely different.

If you weren't fasting for this test, it can be off as well.

Hope that helps,

Kerry
