Hello,
The head and neck is supplied by nerves that arise directly from the brain. Any tingling on one side of the face or the body can be due to severe stress that causes you to tense the muscles of the head and neck and increase muscle tension.
What is worrying is that a mild stroke can also affect the nerves supplying the head and neck and produce similar symptoms. A transient ischaemic attack can also present as tingling on one side of the head and neck. This is more so if you have high blood pressure, high levels of cholesterol or glucose in your blood
You need to see a neurologist as early as you can. You will need a MRI, a CAT scan and perhaps a spinal tap as well. Hopefully, all these tests will be negative and the cause of the tingling and ache will be diagnosed as just stress. But I believe that it is better to be careful and get a proper neurological checkup.
I hope this helps.
