Question

Weird Problems After Bruising

Sent to Health Experts August 26, 2006 11:59 p.m.

This past winter I was walking down some stairs at my dorm to go return some bottles at the grocery store. On my way down the stairs I slipped on a pop-tart and fell on my butt. I got a huge bruise on my right butt cheek and had is for weeks. It was every color of the rainbow and really hurt. I went to the school nurse and she just gave me some pain killers and told me to ice it. I did until I could sit on it and the pain was gone. Shortly after the bruise was completely gone I noticed that my butt cheek is actually mis shaped and now has a bump and then an indent. I mean I wouldnt notice this unless I didn't have another one to compare it to. Its not huge or anything but I notice it and its starting to bug me now months after cause it wont go away. One cheek is sorta square(the injured one) while the other is round. What is this and what do I need to do to fix it?
