My question: I had unprotected sex on a sun night

My question: I had unprotected sex on a sun night but took the plan b pull the next morning. Within about 12 hours. Ive had low stomache cramps for about 4 days but no period. My period is irregular anyways so I dont know when Im due. Does the cramping mean the pills working? How long should I wait for a period as its been a week? Any help will minimize my worries. Thanks

What you are experiencing is quite normal after taking emergency contraception. Within a month after taking it, you should get a regular period. If not then see your doctor for an exam and testing to determine exactly what is going on- it's possible that pregnancy did occur, of which you should then be tested. In this case a blood pregnancy test would be in order, as this is the most accurate way of testing for pregnancy.
