Warm compress to the calf: apply 20 min on and then 20 off. Warm bath with Epsion salts. NO! do not work out with this leg. It is over worked, and has Lactic acid build up, that damages the muscle tissue.

Hope this helps you. Good luck.

You can begin working out again when the pain has subsided. The first few times you work out, be sure to warm up and stretch well, and start slow. If the pain occurs again, give it a few more days rest.

Also, one cause of muscle cramping in the legs can be the result of low calcium in the blood. Be sure you are taking in adequate amounts of dairy products. If you don't like dairy products you may want to consider taking a calcium supplement.

Hope that helps!
