Question on behalf of my brother living in
Sent to Health Experts March 07 12:27 PM

Question on behalf of my brother living in Europe. Severe pains starting at left side of stomach/inguinal spreading to groin and with a cramping prickling feeling on top side of thigh. Pressure does not increase pain. Laying down helps.
During the day one of the veins going from left testicle (and probably back to the kidney?)swells up to about 3 times the size of right side. Ultrasound Scanning, colonoscopyand CT scanning showed nothing. I have great confidence in American doctors and have promised my brother to try to help. Thanking you in advance.

While I am not sure of the exact diagnosis, your brother seems to be having a VARICOCELE. The treatment for this conditiononce it has become symptomatic, is a simple surgery.
