I am at day 32 in my cycle. I have been having cramping but it feels in between pms cramps and abdomincal pains. I have been having some brownish spotting/light bleeding the past few days. We have been trying to get pregnant but the test shows negative. Should I go in to my Dr to make sure I am ok? I have been reading about tubal pregnancies and it seems as though I have some of those symptoms. I am worried, what should I do? The pains come and go, but they do hurt.

Brownish type discharge usually means that it is old blood that the body is trying to get rid of. As far as an ectopic is concerned, You might feel pain in your pelvis, abdomen, or, in extreme cases, even your shoulder or neck (if blood from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy builds up and irritates certain nerves). Most women describe the pain as sharp and stabbing. It may concentrate on one side of the pelvis, and it may come and go or vary in intensity.Pain may get worse with movement or straining. It may occur sharply on one side at first and then spread throughout the pelvic region. There is also increased urination and vaginal bleeding. There can also be dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. If you feel these symptoms match what you have, then you really need to get checked out immediately and not wait.

Thank you. It just feels like we are never going to get pregnant. We started trying last April and in December I had a miscarriage. Do you think I am at the point where the Dr would give us fert meds? I am going to call and try and get in to my MD to make sure I am ok. The pains do come and go but seem to be around where my ovaries are.....could it just be pms cramps?

Typically after a year of not being successful warrants a trip to see your doctor, and a referral to a fertility specialist. After a miscarriage it can take some time for the body to bounce back so if your doctor already told you in the past that everything checked out ok, then I would forgo any type of fertility type medications and try and let things happen naturally. The cramping could be PMS, or you never know, you could be pregnant. Implantation bleeding occurs a bit earlier than expected, and it is scanty, spotty, pinkish and not red and heavy like a period, and does not follow the normal pattern of a period (light to heavy to light). So if the discharge has followed this route, it could be implantation bleeding.

What does implantation bleeding feel and look like? Does it feel like pms type cramps? I am bleeding but it is light compared to my regular periods....which seem to be getting heavier and heavier each month. I do not have a regular cycle....it varies from 32-42 days....usually around 34. I am probably being praranoid..... also if I happened to have an ectopic pregnancy...would the pain be an unbearable pain? Mine has come and gone the past 3 days....it goes away with tylonal but at times down hurt. It almost feels like contractions coming and going or something but I am still working etc but very tired....no nausia and no breast tenderness but I have had no appetite the past 3 days either and have gone to bed quite early..........I hate not knowing whats going on in my body

There is often the feeling that it is a period with light cramps and bloating, but the bleeding is shorter, lighter and just not normal. It is scanty, spotty, pinkish and not red and heavy like a period.
