i recently had a lapascopy surgery done on the 12th. and I feel fine but,it was done the week before my period. So this week my cycly is on but it has like a different flow i'm seeing like clots when i urinate.and it flows kind of heavy.i was suffering from really bad cramps and it's not happening anymore.I had a DNC,removal of cycst and fibroid tumors all done through this lapscpoy procedure. But I concerned about my flow. Is there anything I can like take over the counter for this matter or is this like normal to have these symtoms. It also feels like gas pressure on my ovary. And my doctoctor is out of town so i want to know if i should wait to see him or find a cure.but it does loook abnormal.

It is normal to have a heavier cycle when you have had a procedure like this performed. The cramping that you are feeling can also be associated with the procedure as well. Even the pressure that you are feeling can be normal but should the cramping become intense or you go through more then 6 pads or tampons in 6 hours that is a sign of a cycle that is abnormal and you should be seen by your physician or call his office and ask to be seen by who is call for him while he is away as they usually have someone to cover for emergencies while they are away. If he does not have someone on call for him they will recommend that you go to the ER for treatment. There is not really anything that you can take over the counter except for some Ibuprophen for the pain, but should this continue at a heavy rate for more than six hours I would advise that you give his office a call since you have has a surgical procedure in the last two weeks. i'm not having any type of pain nor cramps. i was needing to know if there is something i can take over the counter to slow the flow of my period.i only go through about 4 to five pads daily. but it looks lumpy so is that normal?and what do you recommend for the gas pressure.

Yes this can be normal and it is actually good that you are not having any pain or cramping. The only thing that you can take over the counter is Ibuprophen, try to stay away from aspririn which works like a blood thinner and can cause more bleeding. You can also take some Gas-X for the gas pressure as this works really good. There may be a little tissue in your blood which is why you are seeing some lumpy material on the pad but as long as there is no pain or cramping and you are only going through 4-5 pads a day this can be normal for a procedure like you have had and you should just allow your cycle to finish so it becomes back on a regular schedule. There is not anything that tyou can take OTC to stop the flow, but you do want to allow this to continue naturally even though it is uncomfortable as the flow of blood will remove any dead tissue from your system which will allow you to heal properly.
