I just recently found out that I am pregnant. I have an appt on Aug 10. The first day of my last period was May 18th at which time I discontinued the use of Nuvaring. I feel that I am only about 2 months along. I am having like little "muscle spasms" in my abdomin and I feel that it is almost impossbile to have at this stage. What could they be? Is it possible that I could have been on the NuvaRing and had my period and still been pregnant prior to my discontiuance of the Nuvaring?

The muscle twinges you are feeling are normal at this stage of pregnancy. If the pain is severe, or you have some bleeding, you will want to have the doctor see you sooner rather than later.

I also suggest getting the book called What to Expect When you are Expecting. It's an excellent book, and it helped to alleviate a lot of my fears when I was pregnant.
