I am on ortho tricyclen and have been for a few years.

I am on ortho tricyclen and have been for a few years. I also started the low gi impact diet about a month ago and lost 15 lbs. It is 2 weeks before my period is supposed to start but I am experiencing light bleeding and have been for 3 days now. What could this mean? Could it be from the diet?

I have lost 15 lbs. I don't have any cramping or pain. I had a pap test 7/11/07 and they said there was some minor inflammation and I am supposed to go back in September.

Yes weight loss or gain can cause an issue with your hormones which causes a change in your cycle so this is most likely the cause. But the inflammation can aolso cause this too so monitor your cycle next month and see f it returns to normal but if it does not then you should be seen for a pelvic eam and also to ruloe otu uinderlying infection especially if cramping ocurs but monitor it next month to see if it returns to normal but if not that and the fact that you have been diagnosed with imflammaton can be a sign of infection that would need an exam and bloodwork. But since weight loss or gain can cause this to occur I feel this is most likely the cause.
