i am 6 weeks pregnant. last night i had slight cramping with brown spotting this am. Just wondering if i should be concerned since i am past the implantation stage. I also have not done anything to cause cervix irritation, such as having sex, or examination.

mjkbrown,

Brown/dark discharge is just old blood that the body is just trying to get rid of. Unless it lasts for an extended amount of time, or is also accompanied by a foul odor, it is quite normal and nothing to be concerned about. Cramping and even spotting are completely normal throughout pregnancy. If however cramping and bleeding become severe, this is something you need to mention to your doctor immediately.
