Have you actually been determined that you produce excessive saliva, or is it a subjective perception? Do you wear an upper denture?

For the record, there are no salivary glands or ducts immediately behind the upper front teeth.

Saliva or other exudate would not make the tongue or inside of the lip cracked and sore (it might cause maceration of the skin on the outside of the lips if it leaked out of your mouth). After all, the tongue normally sits in the mouth covered with saliva all day long; as a matter of fact, dry mouth is more likely to cause soreness inside the mouth than excessive saliva.

Has your dentist or physician ever been able to collect and assess this fluid, or is it merely your perception that there is exudation behind the teeth? Do you have gum disease-- especially if it has been demonstrated to affect the upper front teeth? Gum disease can lead to pus or other exudate. Has the nature of the tongue and lip "soreness" ever been properly assessed by your dentist or physician? Have you been diagnosed with any chronic dermatologic disease such as lichen planus, pemphigoid, psoriasis, or autoimmune disease such as Crohn's?
