i get dry mouth all the time. what is the cause of this and what can i do. i have no flu or cold. i do smoke. can you help me.joe

 This is a serious condition that can lead to chronic tooth and gum disorders.  Some individuals just do not create enough saliva.  Some autoimmune disorders have this condition as a symptom.  See your dentist who recommend appropriate treatment.  There are medications on the market that can treat this available by prescription.  Rinsing with salt water can help as well as no sugar citrus candy,  There is a gel available from Biotene that works for about 4 hours.  Talk to your pharmacist who can order it for you.  Or look on line.
