I don't have any clue what my sugar levels are. I haven't gone for any investigations. I am a coder for ER doctors, but don't want to see any of them. This has been going on for a year or so. Does sugar too high or too low cause nausea?

Hi

There are certain causes for nausea. Common causes includes-

2. Inflammation of the abdominal organs (for instance, pancreatitis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis)

3 .Hormonal disorders, including diabetes, overactive thyroid (hyperthyroid), underactive adrenal glands (Addison's disease)

  • 4. Radiation therapy
  • 5. Psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression, anorexia nervosa,
  • You need certain investigations-

    1. Blood tests (blood count, measurement of chemical levels in the blood, liver enzymes, pancreatic enzymes)

    2. X rays of the gastrointestinal tract, abdomen, or brain. These can include plain x rays, barium x rays, or specialized scans such as CT scans or MRI scans

    3. Endoscopy,

After certain investigations and Physical examination ,cause can be find out.Yes ulcerations in colon can cause Nausea.

Get investigations done and take your Physician Consultation.
