I've been on Klonopin for 1 1/2 years for anxiety disorder. I used to only take .5 at night and was fine. But then I got depressed. The Dr. I went to said I was bipolar and started first on Seroquel which made me more depressed. Then she tried many more meds including SSRI's (all of them) and I got sicker. Went to two more Dr.'s all tried different meds. I got worse. Was still on Klonopin. Which make me very depressed. With my new Dr. I am cutting down. But my way. He said to go from 2 1/4 mg to 1 mg the next day, go on for 2 weeks take 1/2 in morning and 1/2 at night. That is not for me. Now I'm down to 1 1/2 mgs. Went down by 1/4's took 2 more months. But can't seem to go any lower (this took 3 months by quarters. Tried to go to 1 1/4 but would Ulta Ulta cycle from manic to sever depression. I don't know what to to do. I feel all these meds made me this way. I wasn't like this 1 1/2 years ago. Just somewhat depressed. Also when I sleep I wake up with heart pounding and can't catch me breath sometimes not always. What do I do I want off Klonopin but I'm stuck and frightened. Sincerely Wendy Brown
