Hello,

Yes hemodialysis patients can receive IV fluids.

Oxygen is given around 4-5 liters per minutes. This will give usually 99% saturation or more, in patients with no lung disease.Too big flow is not tolerated by conscious patients usually. But all the patients who are on ventilators there oxygen flow is monitored and very regulated. Hope this helps. Feel fee, if you have further questions.

Will administering 02 at too high a level make the saturation decrease? Can iv fluids be given to a hemodialysis patient outside the hospital setting like a skilled nursing facility? What has to be monitered as the fluids are given?
