Hello Lee1,

A green bowel movement is no need to be overly worried unless it is in the form of loose watery consistency. There are a couple causes for a green bowel movement: The main cause of green stools is something you have ingested. Also if the food you eat travels too fast through the intestines there is no time for the bile to be chemically changed, and so it will remain green until it is expelled from the body.
Also take in to consideration side effects to medications. If you have started on something new in recent days this also could change the stools consistency.
Let me reassure you, green bowel movement is not in itself generally cause for alarm.
However, if it is in the form of severe diarrhea then you may want to see your doctor.
If you need further clarification it would be my pleasure to assist you.

Thank you

My concern is there has been some green color in my stool for about 2-3 weeks, today was the first entire green stool; Also I am taking metroformin and avandia for diabetes, concern that metroforming was causing the problems;
