Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: no its not new but has gotten a little worse in the last few weeks.. Other things I have noticed is the stream is very weak and he has to get up in the middle of the night atleast once to urinate.

Hi

I'm not too concerned about the smell but noctuia ( up through the night to urinate) and a weak stream do merit attention from his Dr.

Hi

Nocturia can be a symptom of diabetes or a narrowing of the urinary tract ( as is poor stream).

He needs some bloods, urinalyisis , a physical exam and possibly some further tests depending on the findings.
