I am a diabetic and having numbness and a sudden surge of burning sensation in right hand. The problem is worse at bedtime and during the night. Any help appreciated.

What I can I do to ease the pain or cure the problem.I am on a sliding scale using insulin and I have to use lantis and humalog.

Hello,

Treatment includes

1)Controlling Blood sugar .

2) Taking Multi vitamins especially Vitamin B1,B6 ,B12 .

3) NSAID (pain killer) like Motrin 200 mg SOS or Tylenol 500 mg SOS .

4) Clinical examination to rule out Localised pressure on nerve at wrist joint .
