I have lupus and Type II diabetes. I take Plaquenil. Lately when I drive at night and look down at my dashboard which is orange and look back up the orange light looks purple in my periphal vision. Could this be from the Lupus, Medciation or diabetes..Thanks Teresa

Nothing so far, go to Rheumatologist on 1/12 and eyedoctor on 2/8. But this is starting to really cause a problem with driving.

Paula,

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. When I first noticed the purple color, I just thought I was seeing things. But now it happens when I drive at night. I also notice that my eyes really ache at night also, whether I am driving or not. Do you think since it is Friday evening I can wait to call my Rheumatologist or should I call her now? And should I be freaking out? I really dont want to lose my sight...Thanks Teresa
