The foot cramp only goes away when I stand on the foot. Then it goes away instantly. I never get a cramp standing walking or running.

Thank you - this is very helpful

Based on this, the first thing I would think of would be an electrolyte abnormality - either a low potassium or a low magnesium. Both potassium and magnesium are affected by hydrocholothiazide.

Also - with diuretics (hydrocholorothiazide) the water soluble vitamins (primarily the B vitamins) can be low.

I would suggest asking your doctor to check your electrolytes (specifically potassium and magnesium), and if they are low or borderline your doctor will likely prescribe a supplement. Taking a good multivitamin (B-complex) - which may help with these cramps.

To lower my blood sugar I take , Giplipizide 10mg, Acarbose 100mg, Rosiglitazone Maleate 8mg, Metformin HCL 1000mg and Cinnamon 500mg six per day. I have tested the effect of the Cinnamon and I know positively very effective. What other non-prescription compound could I take?
