3 ears ago I was diagnose with diabetes type 2, I also since about 1993, once in while pass kidney stones, about a week ago While going through this, I had to take couple of percocet prescribed by my Urologist, so I wouldn't feel the pain too much, the pain was so strong and sharp that I forgot to take my diabetes medicine ( actos and metformin); the next day I woke up very tired, cofuse and most of all very desoriented. Hi,

This is easily explained. When you did not take your diabetic medicines, you had Hyperglycemia, or too much sugar in the blood. The diabetic medicines are meant to lower your blood sugar, and if you do not take them, you will have excess of sugar in your blood. The symptoms that you experienced, of tiredness, disorientation, confusion, etc. are typical symptoms of this hyperglycaemia.

You should be very careful not to miss your doses as this might even lead to a serious condition called diabetic coma.

You should read up here to get more info on your condition:
