What could be wrong with me
Sent to Health Experts September 04 11:41 PM

Im having to pee a lot and often not really needing to go and having trouble maintaining an erection out side of sexual activity. When having gay sex my bladder seems to loose strength and I have to leave and use the rest room. Im really distressed because I/m still very young and having erection problems is scary. What could be the cause for this?

Optional Information:

Reply to CindyLuMO's Post: not urinating more, less than before, but frequently.

I have been thinning down a lot this last few weeks, but havent been eating much because working long hours, so didnt think much of it.

no burning when I urinate.

yes have been craving soda more than normal.

I normally wear glasses, but have noticed a decrease in my vision without them.

Both grandfathers died of cancer soon after my birth, not sure of too much other than that in my family.

Mid back pain... not pain, but like pressure and discomfort lately.

thank you for your help and Ill be looking forward to reply, I really am upset and a little scared, this has worried me a bit

I highly suspect you are experiencing symptoms of diabetes. It could be a simple UTI (urinary tract infection) that may have moved to your kidneys. The other symptoms though, make me much more suspicious of diabetes. It is on occasion possible to develop diabetes from a viral attack on the pancreas if you have no family history of it.

Your vision changes would be due to dehydration from the frequent urination.

Mid back pain/pressure would be from overworked kidneys that are spilling sugar into your urine and that pulls more fluid toward the sugar, and out in your urine. (just like salt pulls water to it, sugar does the same in this area). This is why you crave liquids, below is why it is sweet liquids you crave:

Without the proper amount of insulin being present or being usable if present, the sugar (calories, even meat is converted into glucose!), can't get into the cells to give them the fuel they need. This will give you fatigue. You will also burn fat trying to feed the cells, but it just sends your blood sugar higher because without the insulin being available (it is made in the pancreas) you cannot unlock the door to the cells and let the glucose (sugar) in. This is also a reason you would crave sweet things.

Basically you need to be seen ASAP. If you cannot see your doctor tomorrow, I would go to an urgent care center. You need to know what is going on for sure and started on proper education, medication, etc. You will find the sexual dysfunction improves as you keep your blood sugar properly regulated, should diabetes be the problem.
