Hello,

Are you on any medications?

Any preexisting illness?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Greetings.

One of the commonest reason of this symptom would be pinching nerves in the back called as lumbar radiculopathy or sciatica (due to disc disease or lumbar spondylosis). Other reasons are to look for diabetes (neuropathy), Vitamin B12 deficiency, peripheral artery disease etc.

The investigations like MRI of lumbar spine, Serum B12 levels, hemoglobin, glucose tolerance test, etc. would give clue to the diagnosis. You need to be seen by your primary care physician who can by a physical examination ascertain the system involved and can refer you to either a specialist or can further investigate.

Please feel free, if you have further questions.

Dr. Arun
