Sent to Health Experts February 29 07:08 PM

I am experiencing loud digestive noises from random places in my upper and lower tracts. This has occurred on several occasions over the past two years and I end up with a low grade fever and not feeling well within a day of this problem. My bowels for the past month and a half are very small, loosely connected, and sink to the bottom of the stool. I have been on amox/clav 500/125 mg for ear, sinus infections for three rounds continuous (10 days each). At times, I am unable to control the bowels. I am a female aged 46 about 30 pounds overweight and take thyroid medicine. I recently noticed my tablets for menopause (Femestra)are passing through without breaking down. Any help will be appreciated and thank you for your time.

Optional Information:
Female, Age: 46, North Carolina

Reply to Dr Abreza's Post: No blood in the stool and I haven't felt well this winter season. Every weekend since november, I seem to have some bug. (Last year was great.) I've been on thyroid meds for around 15 years. I also have fibromylagia, chronic fatigue, epstein barr virus...I try not to bite into these titles and use positive thinking and stretching to cope with symptoms. I am an art teacher in the public school system.

Hello Customer (name blocked for privacy),

It seems your bowel has been very active.
It could be due to either inflammation bowel disease, over treated with thyroid medications or Tumor arising from your intestine.
Since november your immune systems has been weak. That is why you are down with
recurrent episode of infections.
I am glad you have tried few methods to relieve your symptoms.
Unfortunately since the duration is about a month it is wise to see your Gastroenterologist to find out the real cause.
Do take care and i hope you will be able to solve the problems.
Thank you
