My Dad [82] has been having intestinal problems for yrs..his Doctor is suggest/checking into UVA,for this medical procedure to be done there.Can you help me get info so I can pass along to my Dad where/who to contact for this test to be done at UVA? Sometimes Dr.'s take a long time in locating this type of test,I'm just trying to speed up this process by finding info and pass it along to my Dad.Thank you,Lynne Robertson/Customer (name blocked for privacy)@aol.com

A Dr./Hospital in the Lynchburg/UVA-Charlottesville,Va. area that has/does image pill that a person swollows,then this camera pill takes actual internal image of digestive track. My Dad fells like a blockage in intestinal track and apparently GI Series/X-Rays have shown nothing to date. His Dr., in Lynchburg Va.says they will look in getting him this procedure or locating its availablility in UVA,in Charlottesville,Va. I'm trying to locate this procedure for my Dad to give to his Dr.,as you know,Dr.'s are often very busy and sometimes takes week for them to due or look for new Medical procedures. Camera pill you swallow and internal picturs taken so Doctors have a film [movie] of your digestive tract. Looking for Medical Center/Dr. that does this . Can be in the Washington,DC area or Charlotteville,Firfax,Lynchburg, Va. areas.

I would start at UVA in Charlottesville, a large teaching institution, by calling th GI lab or radilology to see if anyone on staff does this procedure. I am sorry but I do not have any specific names.
