My doctor put me on medroxyprogesterone 10mg ...

My doctor put me on medroxyprogesterone 10mg tablets before I have a hysterectomy. She knows I smoke(not a lot) and she said it was ok to smoke while taking this.Is this true?

Smoking needs to be avoided when taking this medication. Smoking greatly increases the risk of blood clot formation if you smoke while taking this medication.
