back pain
Sent to Health Experts July 23 07:31 PM

large bruise on my back, and giving me muscle pain... possibly a spider bite, or a scratch from a rusty roofing nail. It has been causing me pain for over a week and a half, and at first I thought it was just a muscle ach, but a bump developed, and I thought it was a White head, but it still hurts, and a bruise the size of a quarter has developed, and I need to know what to do.

You should have a doctor look at this. Apparently you have been working in the attic? Where do you live? Could be a spider bite, and you can not be sure what kind. You know what poison spiders may be in your area. Go to an emergency room.

Reply to Jack Schroder's Post: I am trying to remember when the pain started, but when it started it felt like a muscle knot. I was working in a crawl space, and an attic in Santa Cruz, CA, but I do not recall if the pain started the day before, or the day of the work. The lump has reduced in size, and the aching is becoming less and less. I just started a new job, and my insurance coverage has not started, and I do not want to make a trip to the emergency room if it is not necessary. I have not experienced any other affects besides the muscle ach.

Maybe you are right. Even black widow bites do go away on their own. But you have learned a lesson, I suppose. Hang in there. Good luck.
