Foot Ankle Leg Swelling

55 yr old male left foot ankle swell after up for several hrs.Drove from Florida to Northern AZ 4 days left foot and ankle ,Red has vericose veins what should I do,keep elevated at nite take fluid pill ,drink oj,eat bananas walk some.Some pain take asprin.How can I heal this? Thanks Ronn
