Low Albumin and Electrolytes
Sent to Health Experts August 09 03:18 PM

My Primary Care Physician just gave me lab reports that were alarming to me..I had a gastric bypass in June of '04 and have since lost 150 pounds. I now weigh about 120. I don't feel real great a lot of the time, but I've doubled up on my multi vitamins and take 1000 units of calcium a day. My doc says these lab results is like a bomb waiting to explode, you just don't know when. The levels that are concerning both she and I are the Albumin levels and my electrolytes...what exactly are they, what are they for, what happens when they get like they are now...and what can I do about it? I would appreciate any help or info you can give me.
Thanks,
Mary S. Wright
