WHAT COULD CAUSE A HIGH WHITE PLATLET COUNT?

My doctor called me last night & stated that my white platlet count was high & that i needed to see a Hemotologtist. I want to get some idea of what the possiblilities could be?

There is no such thing as a high white platelet count. There is high platelet count, and high white blood count. If you can tell me which, I can answer your question better.
