what are the signs of a poisonous bite

I would definitely advise a visit to the ER for a rapidly increasing painful condition that you are describing, in the meantime you could try hot fomentation and an OTC Pain-killer like Ibuprofen (MOTRIN),

that didnt really answer my question. we want to know if it could be a poisonous bite and what kind of bite it could be. Like i said we cant afford a doctor and the er is way more expensive. if you know of any emergency medical help we can get to pay for a doctor in the state of florida

It is highly possible that your Mom had a hair follicle pore get clogged and then an infection started, with the pain going into her ear and neck it is highly possible that a staph infection has deveoped, I had an unexplained pimple on my head some years ago and had similar symptoms and I had a staph infection, your Mom really needs to get into a Doctor so she can get started on antibiotics. After she is seen at the Er, she and/or you can talk with the billing/ fiancial department and apply for fiancial assistances, she would need prove of income and finacial information. There are also low cost clinics that she can go to, they have a slide fee scale, you can usually find them in the yellow pages under clinics. See if you have one located close called "Shepard's Hope" this is a low cost Health clinic in Florida. Here is a website for info on them:
