Question

discharge vaginal sex

Sent to Health Experts September 21, 2005 2:45 a.m.

The walls of my vagina feel swollen and painful and the outside is a bit red and tender as well. I haven't attempted sex yet, but I'm sure it would probably be painful. I've had painful urination for over a month and a little bit of lower abdominal pain. The most likely diagnosis I've found online is Candida Vaginitis, but I don't have the vaginal discharge or odor that comes with it. Any ideas?

You are right, it could be Candida, or possible Bacterial Vaginosis (BV), maybe even UTI or possible STD.

All of them have similar symptoms, you may only have one or two of them and not be having all of them. It could have been a UTI but may be going into your kidney or possible bladder. Either way Hun.. you really need to make an appt with your doctor for an evaluation so that you can get on the correct antibiotic and get whatever it is cleared up so that you are no longer in pain. A month is much to long even with the painful urination. Which can go into your kidneys and cause damage if left untreated. So without anymore delay, please call your doctor and set up an appt to be seen.

Good luck...
