Question

medical doctor rash

Sent to Health Experts September 21, 2005 2:54 a.m.

My fiance developed a rash all over his body about 10 days ago. 2-3 days later I believe he experienced a seizure. He felt nausea, fell to the floor, vomited a little and looked as though he was trying to speak but no words were coming out. He was twitching and had a blank stare. When he finaly seemed to come around he said he thought he was dying and felt like he had just ran a marathon. Then he threw up a few more times. He still has the rash and creams and Benadryl are not helping. He says he feels fine and doesnt seem to see the urgency to see a Doctor. Dont you think this is serious and if so how can I urge him to seek medical attention? Please help me and advice is greatly appreciated

ACCEPTED Check Mark

What you are describing clinically fits in with a seizure disorder.
There are two reason why he needs to see a doctor:
1. The fact that he had a seizure and there is a chance of recurrence in potentially harmful places (like while driving, operating machinery etc.)
2. The rahs that has not improved with OTC products, this could be related to the seizure, and this would merit a definite investigation for the cause of the rash and the seizure.
I would urge you to ask him to get a medical opinion at the earliest,

Do let me know if you need more information, please remember to 'accept' the reply if you find it useful; a positive rating & a bonus at your discretion would be appreciated,

Regards
