I popped my knee out and back in about 4 weeks ago. Went to the er and had x-rays. Again last week it did it again. Went to doctor and was told I dislocated, it. He is reffering me to an orthopedic surgeon. How will the doctor be able to find if I strected or tore any tendons. Through X-rays or MRI???

Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy)

An x-ray can show some tearing of muscles, but an MRI will show more. And it will show more details. Specialists can often tell by touch and examination what they are looking at too. They are very well trained, and develop a knack for it over time.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you have more questions.
