Hi Cynthia

Yes, there is cause for concern. You are probably having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic, which has the possibility of getting worse. I would give the doctor a call and report the rash. They may want to switch you to a different antibiotic.

Hope you are on the mend soon.

The rash actually started happening before taking the antibiotics, while leaving the doctors office yesterday. What else could it be and how can it be treated?

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me. It could be an allergic reaction. Perhaps to the stingray bite.

You can try taking some benadryl, or put benadryl cream on the rashy areas. Don't use both together though, or you risk getting too much benadryl. If it is an allergy one of these will give you relief from the rash.

Hope that helps,

Kerry

Relist: I still need help.
Suggestion is to take Benedryl. Can you take this when you are taking Cipro?
