I have frequent infections from vaginitis. I have never had a yeast infection. However, I'm burning and itching really bad, and the discharge has a funny smell. Tell me what this could be please.

I do have one more question. I have had to have three cone procedures on my cervix. Cervical cancer runs in my family, and my doctor said I would need a hysterectomy or I would keep getting the cancer cells. My husband, and I have been trying to have another baby for four months now with no luck yet. I treat these vaginal infections it seems like every month, but don't understand why they keep coming back. Could it be my cervix causing all of the infections? What should I do about this? I know I need to talk to my doctor, but do you think I will always get these as long as I don't get a hysterecyomy done?
