I had a baby September 1st. I bled for about 5 weeks afterwards and then stopped. When I went to my 6 week check up the doctor said everything looked fine. I am bleeding every time I have sex with my husband, the first two times I chalked it up to just being a continuation of the 5 weeks. But today it happened again and I am concerned. What could be causing this and is it normal?

Post-coital bleeding can occur for a number of reasons, and is nothing to take lightly. Here's a look at the top 10 causes of vaginal bleeding after sex: Cervical Dysplasia, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Vaginitis, Cervical Polyps, Trichomoniasis, Vaginal Yeast Infection, Endometrisi, Uterine Polyps, Fibroid tumors.

You should go back to your GYN and have a pap to start along with a visual as well. It may be that your cervix is not completely healed as well, but without an exam would be hard to say, but do make an appt just to rule out any of the above.
