Septation just means the cyst is divided into segments. The thickness of the walls between the parts. Thicker wall is thought to be a higher risk of being malignant. At this point you are jumping the gun here. Worst case scenario cancer.. But as I say.. that is worst case. Even though it came back as Complex cyst that still doesn't mean it is cancer either. Several years ago I had gone on the pill, after being on the pill I started with severe pain etc. Ultra sound done as well, came back with Complex cyst. They do repeat the ultra sound later (in your case 4 weeks) to see if it has changed in size at all, which will give them a better picture as to what is going on. Which is a lot better than doing a bunch of other tests if not needed. Anyway, mine had not changed size, it didn't get bigger, but it didn't get smaller either. (Which was great) then I realized nothing like this had occurred before I started on the pill. In my case, I stopped the pill, then a month later with another ultra sound it had gone down then. (so with the pill actually helping most people--it did the opposite for me) for a long while I had no problems, then for the last 5 years or so, I do get what is called fluid filled cyst, they come and go. (pop on their own)

So at this point, don't jump to the conclusion of cancer, it's not worth the stress, and if you are stressing this can also play a factor in how you feel, your period everything. Go ahead and do your follow up with your 2nd opinion, either way you should have your 2nd ultra sound done to confirm the size etc and go from there, they may order a biopsy on the cyst, if that were to happen and once you get the results then deal with what is going on.. but to be scared is putting energy into something that is not needed. So with your question, should you be concerned.. At this point in time.. No.. I know the wait is ruff, I have been there too... but you do as you feel good about.. if it helps seeing the other doctor Friday.. thats great... I always commend another opinon... either way.. wait for your other ultra sound before stressing or being scared.
