ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hello

Sounds like you could be having an allergic reaction. If your tongue and face are swelling, this could turn into a life threatening situation. If you have any benadryl in the house I would take some of that now. If you begin having trouble breathing, please go to the ER directly.

The swellings are at various times of day and night. I cannot find a common food or other that sets this off. I do believe it is somewhat stress related, but it happens even in my sleep now. The swelling lasts for a few hours. I take benedryl, but it doesn't seem to do much.

Do you know about dyshydrosis? My feet and hands look like that except that they do not have blisters or a rash.

The doctor I saw gave me xanax to take, but I don't find it helping. What kind of specialist should I see?
