Our son now 17 months old has always displayed
Sent to Health Experts December 13 05:42 PM

Our son now 17 months old has always displayed red rosy cheeks. I noticed this as early as one month old. There are days where his cheeks aren't as red but there are times they're very red. So many, many people always comment such as: "Oh, look at his red cheeks". My wife thinks he is okay and it's only because of teething. I believe he may have a form of Rosacea. What is your opinion? Do babies or toddlers get Rosacea? His Doctor per my wife seems to think nothing is wrong but I disagree. I am looking for some advice.

Optional Information:

As an infant we used vasoline which didn't do anything. Now we'll use an over the counter baby lotion.

It mostly does effect older people. Generally there is redness, pimples, and, in advanced stages, thickened skin. Without seeing your son and going by your description, it could be possible, but it could also be dry skin as well. Your best bet would be to have him seen by a dermatologist especially since this is their specialty as well. Then you all will know for sure along with best treatment as well.
