Unspecified brain lesions, three spots. No lower spine involved, rarely lower back pain. Spasms, burning feet, occupied with tingling, numbness. Trouble walking on feet from tenderness or feeling like a pulled muscle occured.Sometimes one day is worse then other.Tingling sensations seem to go upperward in arms and legs. Restless Leg Syndrome since childhood. Tingling, weakness started four months prior to RA Diagnosis. Methotreaxate toxicity ruled out and tingling was present before Methotrexate was taken. MS ruled out. Heaviness in legs also present. Lyme Disease ruled out. Neurologist recommends Spinal Tap. Wondering if this could be a muscle disease or misdiagnosed as having RA. Father complained of legs always hurting him.

Had a rash over entire body July 1989 and treated with cortisone shots and predisone tablets. Blamed on stress. Disappeared and never reappeared again. No muscle biopsy planned. Sedimentation rates have been check and sometimes they are elevated, but not by much. Dr.Reptko thought of the possiblitie of vascular disease but sent me to neurologist after brain lesions appeared. Neurologist didn't say why he wanted spinal tap done and wants to do another brain MRI in 18 months. Before tingling started, restless leg syndrome increased intensity and then subsided and the tingling started and got progressively worse since May 2003 in hands and feet. Blood circulation in legs never felt right to me and then all the above started years later. Hypertension hard to contol for two years. When admitted to Wesley Medical Center Wichita, Kansas blood pressure was 170/139 and two arteries blown apart in nasal.Currently under control with Diovan and 80/12.5 mg.and Norvasc 5mg.This tingling and tenderness in feet is getting crippling and interfering with sleep. Husband believes I been misdiagnosed with RA because there is never any joint swelling or redness. Stiffness is present all day long. Fatique has put me off work along with tingling in feet, legs and hands. Maybe another disease mimicking RA. Trip alot. Sometimes glands in neck swell and get a fever. Happens alot. Taking RA drugs without no relief. Don't know who in this area could do a follow up for muscle biospy or vascular problems.
