Sent to Health Experts February 01, 2006 11:42 a.m.

I just discovered, while sitting at my desk, that the cartilage of my outer right ear is very "jagged" as if it has been chewed. I'm 48 and have never noticed this. My left ear is smooth. It is not painful, but it concerns me. It's like it's deteriorating or something. Any suggestions as to what it could be and what type of doctor I should see?

Thank you,

Dena Dunn

Since none of the first three have occurred, what kinds of infections could cause this?
