REPLIED Check Mark

You may have an STD. As crazy as it sounds it is possible. Most STD's can stay dormant in the body for long periods of time. Go see a doctor and get tested.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

If your wife has not had a regular exam done by an GYN then she may have had a dormant STD. STD's can stay dormant for years and all of a sudden come up. There is no set amount of time that they can stay dormant, everyone's time is different. It is also possible that your wife could be having a yeast infection which could be irritating you also. It is best to see a doctor and be tested, both of you, just to rule out these and be treated if anything is found. If this answer helps please hit the accept button for me. A positive rating is also greatly appreciated.
