Was told I have a polyp on my uterus - found on a vaginal ultrasound. Was told I need to talk to the doctor about a D & D and a hysteroptomy (or something like that - sounded like hysterectomy, but was not hysteroctomy - am a little confused. Said the procedure would allow them to take a better look at the growth inside the uterus. Am a little concerned, what does this sound like - where can I get some additional info? Of course, after alarming me - the doctor can not see me for a few weeks so I want to try to get some info on what causes polyps in uterus, what else it could be, etc.
