I am 34 years old and have had a painful-to-the-touch lump on my upper right cheek for about 1 year. I suspected that it may be from a cell phone which got really hot when I talked for a period of time, because of the location of the lump (and remembering the heat from the phone). My Doctor tried to tell me the lump, b/c it is not protruding a lot, may be an optical illusion!! My husband notices the difference and old pictures I have prove it too.
I have had blood tests (CBC and I can't remember the other name) and 2 CT scans of my head (specifically the right zygoma). My doctor says there is nothing wrong, no swelling, the bones look good, the sinuses look good, etc. My gut feeling is that something is wrong - I am not crazy - nor do I want to have any sort of illness or problem. I wonder how I can go about telling my doctor that I want to know what the problem is because I think he thinks I am crazy!! I really would like him to consider at least any damage a hot mobile phone may cause. I also would like to know what tests can I suggest to my Doctor to put my mind at ease - or begin treatment. Thank you!~
Thank you!
